@Fall_In_Love22:  AGREED.  I hate USPS with a passion.

About a third of our STDs were mailed to the return address.  There wasn’t anything wrong with the addresses, mind you.  USPS just couldn’t tell the difference between a to address and a return address.  WTF.

USPS is the worst!! My reason doesn’t have to do win RSVPs but they are still horrible, apparently they recently decided that our address doesn’t exist so they have been returning all of our mail!!

The thing that I don’t get about the USPS is that when something doesn’t get sent to the person addressed, where the frick does it go? I honestly want to go to the post office and yell “If you aren’t going to give it to whomever I paid you to give it to, at least give it back to me so I can handle it!!”

@josephbrittany:  That is what happened to my friend, they decided one day that he moved out without a forwarding address. He didn’t move, he has been living there for years.

@Fall_In_Love22:  They did.  We made sure.  🙂

Ugh.  When our photographers tried to send us the DVD with all our pictures, they actually shipped it from where the photographer works to the return address (the photographers’ home address), then the handling center near them sent it back to near us, but then that handling center sent it back to the return address, and then it finally came back to us.  Looking at the tracking online was insane.

In non-wedding related matters, USPS managed to make two boxes with half of all my worldly possessions just disappear into the ether when I moved to Japan.  The boxes were just gone.  I never got them, they were never returned, nothing.  I lost so much money.

Then, when I came home two years later, USPS broke about $1000 worth of pottery I bought in Japan, then refused to give me the insurance I had bought because they kept saying I needed to talk to the Japanese postal services (Japan kept saying no, I needed to talk to the US).

I see red whenever I think about them.

I am actually a big advocate for the USPS and encourage people to write letters and send cards.  And than our wedding happened…

STDs went out without a hitch.  Silver writing on charcoal grey envelopes for the invites was not a problem either.  Invitations were delayed to a town 15 miles away but the out of states ones made it the next day.  Why?  The machines tore the flap open on some of our invites, two got delivered as empty envelopes only and the best one?  Our RSVPs got sent to New York because the street address of 1415 Torrance was similiar to ours at 1415 Terrance?!?!?!  New York and Illinois are not even remotely close in zip code, spelling, etc!!  They luckily were delivered to an amazing lady who called us everyday to let us know who was coming to our wedding!  Crazy!!
