I started planning and booking things almost 2 years in advance, and I am so glad I did! It was not stressful at all and I got my first choice of vendors for everything. Things book up early these days! There are enough little things to worry about as you get closer to the wedding that it is nice to have all the big things out of the way!

@MUAbride2be:  I completely identify with how you feel! We know a couple who met, started dating, got engaged & will be mabefore during the time period that we’ve been engaged. When I tell people how much I have planned already they look at me like I’m crazy, but I’m so glad to have things booked & ready to go already because the next 10 months leading up to the wedding are going to be so much more enjoyable & less stressful than they could have been.

@MUAbride2be:  Yes! Everyone wants me to wait because they think I’m absolutely batshit crazy for booking things over a year in advance. A lot of dates were already taken when I started booking so guess I was right… I go out of town for 2 weeks in August then STDs go out in September and I start college then too. I am definitely planning ahead with everything I can because it’s right for US.

@MUAbride2be:  I had only 10 months to plan my wedding, and it was just enough time.  I definitely didn’t feel like I had plenty of time to waste lol.

I’m the opposite. I’m having people go ‘it’ll go by so quickly!’ and I’m like ‘Nah, I have loads of time left!’

@MUAbride2be:  I have been waiting 6 and a 1/2 years to marry my FI. 10 months seems like NOTHING 🙂

Very much a first world problem post.  Be grateful for the time you have.  Some brides have only a few months to plan the wedding and are very rushed!
