The downside to having a Marisa dress is the nearly complete lack of other “real bride” pictures to inspire me with hair and jewelry ideas to go with my dress.
Here are the ONLY real bride pictures in my dress on the entire expanse of the interwebs – and she is like, knockout gorgeous. Her hair is very classic and simple, and she’s only wearing earrings! Is this the best way to go with this dress? Or could I wear some jewelry, or my hair half down or in a more loose style? She added the ribbon – which I actually don’t like because it takes away from the asymmetry – and straigtened out the neckline (its actually a slight sweetheart). I’m also thinking I might add a shoulder strap. In the pictures of me trying it on, they used a belt, so the real thing would obviously look better and match.
… but yeah. ANY styling advice for hair, jewelry (or lack thereof) would be super helpful.
Gorgeous not me bride:

And just so you have an idea of the overall look,
the bridesmaids will be in navy chiffon dresses of their choice and silver shoes of their choice, and I’m giving them each very simple pearl earrings:
and the flower girl will be in this tutu, but with an ivory cardigan:

Gorgeous dress. I agree, it doesn’t need a belt (though it looks fine on the girl). If you do add a strap, I would say no necklace. If you DON’T add a strap, I say necklace is fine.
You can wear your hair however you want. 🙂 I think adding the strap changes that slightly – if you add that, I’d wear your hair up so everyone can see it. So basically, if you add the strap, my opinions might change? Lol.

I agree with everything AmeliaBedelia said, but wanted to add that I really like the strap idea, and that your hair in the side ponytail (at least thats what it looks like to me) would be a good option with the strap too. Oh and I like dangly earrings and no necklace.

Add the strap, no necklace with hair up
No strap, necklace with hair however you like
Hope that helps!

Thanks so much girls. As long as the strap looks good (I haven’t seen it with the actual dress material yet), I’ll be adding it – I’m rather scrawny and pretty flat in the chesty department, so I’d prefer the extra support of the one-shoulder.
I’m thinking a hair flower and no veil… bigger than the one they put on at the shop, but smaller than the one the other bride had.

Id love to see any beautiful flower/pearl hairpieces you may have found for under $100…

@mandypop: I think that’s a great idea! I don’t have any suggestions (I’m not one of those incredibly quick savvy bees) but check etsy and ebay if you haven’t already!

Thanks lady 🙂 I started looking, but there are approximately 39483498938884844939848948 to choose from – I got a bit overwhelmed, haha.

@maryandbarry: oooooooh those earrings are gorgeous. Great idea.
@Rica2002: 2 of the girls chose different Bill Levkoff gowns (one of them is the one in the pic). Another girl got one from J Crew, and one hasn’t picked yet.
