It’s not all my style…I personally would never envision my wedding to include some of the color combos that are put there but I still like visiting the site ๐Ÿ˜‰

The name kind of sounds like a dress up doll for little girls. But I do like their work. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the site, but yeah…the first time I heard of it, I was like ‘Speak English, much?’…

I remember when I was engaged and looking for inspiration for my own wedding I could NOT find an indoor wedding featured on this site. And finding one on the east coast was also a challenge. Since my wedding was in Philadelphia in June, I had about a 60% chance of rain so of course I planned the entire thing indoors. Why stress? But you click through the weddings on this site and they’re all getting married on the beach, out in a field, in a farm, etc.

I finally abandoned the site when I counted about 5 weddings in a row where cupcakes were served in mismatched tea cups. When everyone’s doing it, it’s not original anymore sorry..

@heather25: I want a cupcake too!

@moderndaisy: totally agree on every wedding being outdoors…I rarely, if ever, see one on there that is inside

“When everyone’s doing it, it’s not original anymore sorry..”

Just to play devil’s advocate, is anything really “original”?

I think the only people who will realize something is “trendy” are the people that are currently wedding planning or newly married.

Before I started planning my own wedding, I had no idea most of the “trendy” things were even ever done because most of us only go to a handful of weddings; versus on the internet we look at hundreds of people’s weddings.

I personally have never seen cupcakes in teacups (or even wedding cupcakes period), and many other “trendy”/”popular” wedding ideas (rustic decor, tea-length wedding dresses, mason jars, etc) in real life.

It’s very edited. I wish they featured other types of weddings.

@LuckyJuls: Agree. Every single wedding looks EXACTLY THE SAME.

Yea, the name is a bit weird. I loooved looking at all the pretty when I was first engaged. But then I had to take it off my Google Reader because, like PPs have said, everything is outdoors, super trendy, etc. It was making me put a lot of pressure on myself! But now I like to go back and visit the site every once in a while ๐Ÿ™‚

“I wish they featured other types of weddings.”

I agree with that 100%! I’m having a destination beach wedding, only 1 wedding I’ve seen on there is somewhat along my vision.

I agree at the fact that all the weddings pretty much look exactly alike – tea cups, vintage, bird cage veils, Anthropologie stuff, etc.  Very pretty, but very much the same.

I have seen some awesome weddings on there that break the mold, so it is always a nice surprise!
