Im wanting to do a few DIY pomander balls. The local craft store has the styrofoam balls for $12/each. Anyone have any online recommendations?

How large are the balls you're looking for? remember that the flowers will fluff the ball up ALOT.  I'd suggest finding online coupons and signing up for their mailing list to use at the store. :( good luck!

At Save-on-Crafts you can get a 6-pack of 5" stryofoam balls for $15.54

This is the size I used to make my tissue paper pomanders. It took about 25 half tissue paper poms to make it. This place also has the 4" ones, which make a good sized pomander as well, but I think the 5" is the typical.

That seems a little  high to me.  The Save-on-Crafts deal from mskalinin is the best I could find.

I've bought some at Michael's and they weren't too expensive. (I didnt' buy large ones, though.) I would suggest signing up for their e-mail alerts, and they'll send you plenty of discount coupons.

Holy styrofoam batman! That is ridiculous! Check out Save on Crafts, or print out a 40/50% off coupon for Hobby Lobby or Michael's. Like the other poster said, your poms puff out a lot when you put flowers on there! Keep that in mind. Happy crafting and welcome to the 'bee!!

I used a three inch ball and I was REALLY surprised at how big they came out.  Just consider that when chosing a ball.

I bought 5" balls at Hobby Lobby for $3.99  I'm pretty sure they dont go on sale there, but you can use 40% off coupons.

Mine turned out like this...bigger than I was expecting.
