I’ve been working on my DIY centerpieces, and I’ve hit a wall. I’m having two versions, a cylinder case and a square vase, each with two smaller vases on the sides. I’ve already gone through a dozen interations of these darn things, and I still can’t figure out something I love. I’ve “decided” that the smaller vases will be filled with layered teal and clear water gel beads (I just discovered these, and I love them!) and include a submersable led light in it. The bigger vases… I did the whole glass beads, flower, floating candle thing and loved it at first… now I’m not so in love. I don’t really like flowers. I’d like to keep the water/floating candle thing, but does anyone have ideas for what I can put in it? The cylinder vase 10 inches tall and 5 wide, and the square is about 6 inches tall and 9 wide. I have pictures, but not on my work computer. I’m really stuck!
Any ideas are much appreciated.
Oh, helpful information- my venue is an aquarium, and the reception will have the backdrop of a wall-sized fish tank. It’s a pretty dark room, so candles/small leds are key. Colors are teal and silver. I don’t like flowers.

You could get some interesting and underwater looking dried product like this and use it without any flowers
I know they are flowers but black callas used on their own would have a dramatic underwater look
You could use pieces of fake coral either natural looking or spray painted the color of your choice

@julies1949: Thanks for the suggestions! I like the coral idea. I wonder if that would complement the setting or be too similar. I’ll have to try that out.

@melisslp: These are awesome ideas! Thanks so much! I love the candle in a vase inside another vase idea. I’ll have to try that when I get home.

@stephanie920: Your welcome! I’ve been spending a lot of time on the Bee lately, as I’m off of work for summer break and am not taking grad classes. It’s so fun to help! I, too, like the one you like as well…what a cool “effect” fire and water together!

@stephanie920: Here are some ideas I found however for the fish you might have to add them 1 hour before the party so that they don’t die
