I started my weight loss plan in the beginning of May at 180.8lbs, with just over 2 months after I am now 157.4 lbs and I feel amazing! 🙂 I did it by changing my eating habits, healtheir and less more often, I also worked out 5 days a week with a mix of cardio and lifting weights. My goal is to loose a total of 45 lbs by our wedding in January.
Here are my picture of comparison:
The first picture was taken at our engagement session and I was wearing one of those tummy and thigh suck-in garments. The second picture was taken yesterday with NO help of extra garments! woo!
Are any of you trying to loose weight before the wedding or have any of you already started your plan? I would love to hear your stories and see comparison pictures if you have some!:)

Good for you!!!! You look amazing!
I’ve lost a total of 57 lbs. and 30 of those since December. Similarly, I eat super healthy and work out 6 days/week. No special diet or pill, just good old healthy food and sweat!!
My highest weight was 176 and I now weigh 119.

@Verita: Congrats!! I’ve actually been GAINING, which is heartbreaking, but I’m going to keep trying.
I’ve started biking 5 miles a day, so I hope it will help.

WOw, that is some awesome motivation. Congrats on the weight loss first of all. Gives me hope that I can do it.
Doctor weighed me in at 253 (blah) about two weeks ago. Made me really realize that some things needed to change and I really want to be under 200 by our wedding next July.
So with a year to do about 40-50lbs, I am changing a lot. No soda, dessert maybe once a week, more fruits and veggies, loads of water, and really watching what I am eating.
Exercise has always been an issue with me. My motivation sucks. But with the wedding coming up and thinking about kids shortly after, I really want to be in the best shape I can be. So I bike when it’s not 9,000 degrees outside, usually 5 to 10 miles. And I also do EA active sports 2 on my wii with 10lb weights, and strength train with my FH.
I want my FH to take some pictures so I can see the differences when they start to happen. I can already sense some changes but I love proof.
But again congrats. You look great!

You look awesome! I just started trying to lose for our April 2013 wedding. I want to lose about 70lbs! Just started on June 13 and have lost 12lbs! I did this just by cutting out all bad bread, eating a protein 3x daily, and not using salt or butter and drinking a TON of water. I know once I start adding exercise, it will come off faster! Just gotta get the motivation to get my butt in the gym!

@caits615: I started exactly where you are and have lost about 20-25 lbs. But, I have a bit to go, and that is such an inspiration!

@CaliHoya: It’s strange, in high school I was super fit and was at 130-132 and never imagined being this small (I’m 5’1″). I religulously used the MyFitnessPal app, worked hard, and used the Fooducate app and never bought anything at the grocery store below a B- (other than dark chocolate, which I excused with not eating the large serving size and only eating a square or two in the evening). Now I’m 119 and I’m just hoping to be able to maintain this weight for the long haul, which is daunting to thing about, but I just remind myself to take one day at a time. You’re doing great and you’ll definitely get there!!!

@Verita: I did it by changing my eating habits, healtheir and less more often,
That is the ONLY way to ensure life long success. Congrats to you and your weight loss, you look fantastic!
I also lost weight (130 pounds) by changing my lifestyle. I became more active thus leading to an addiction to exercise, ate healthier/simpler meals and more often, and altered my whole approach to food in general. I feel a million times better and I don’t look too shabby if I do say so myself. It is amazing what just a few pounds can do to your overall well being, not to mention well over 100 pounds.

@Treejewel19: That is awesome! How long did it take you to lose the weight?

Thank you, you guys are so sweet 🙂
caits615 Wow, that’s awesome! Congrats to you as well 🙂
jatelynn Thank you! & good luck to you on your weight loss plan! Definitely take pictures so you have proof, it doesn’t hurt that it’s a confidence booster too lol Just eat healthier and excerise as much as possible and you be will on your way!
katie395 Congrats to you as well! I understand what you mean about the excersing part. But that hardest part is just getting started, once you get in the habit it becomes much easier. I am now at the point where I LOVE working out, definitely running. You just have to get over “hard” part.
Treejewel19 🙂 I knew going into this I had to make a lifestyle change and I knew it had to be with the food I was eating and to take on excersing. You are completely right when you said that its the only way for lifetime success. It really is. I feel great, and I feel confident and I am now obsessed with working out lol Congrats to you as well on your weight loss! That is such a great accomplishment!
