@RedBullFueled:  hi! I say go to the RE. . they may try Clomid anyway but i think it’s best left to an expert when you have signs of DOR. for example, they may likely want to do Clomid with IUI so as not to ‘waste’ Clomid cycles when there is a low chance of success with just Clomid. or, they may give you the option of combining Clomid with injectible meds.

i also have low AMH so i totally empathize! Personally I am currently trying acupunture/Chinese medicine. . ..we’ll see if it’s effective! But before starting the Chinese medicine, I was about to try superovulation myself, , but in the hands of an RE, not a Gyn. I think there are too many examples of Gyns using Clomid improperly.

on a positive note, I have heard lots of stories of BFPs with low AMH! I have previously searched on this topic and I think Pantera Peach (a poster from abt a year ago) had one. . .and I have known people personally who have had success.

I did clomid with times intercourse and monitoring. It worked for us on the 3rd try. It is very important to be monitored. We started on 50 mg on CD3-7 and were unsuccessful. So we moved on to 100 mg, with an added trigger shot and got our BFP! We went through an RE though.. our gyno was unwilling to be do testing before doing clomid.
