(Closed) Success with Insanity Workout?

I’m on week 3 of Insanity. So far, I haven’t weighed myself or anything, so I don’t know if I’ve lost anything or not. I’ve tried to eat healthier – but some days, not so great.  Overall, however, I feel much healthier. The workouts are HARD!

I just did the 2nd fit test, I did better than the first time and I can tell that the workouts are getting easier – or at least I can do more in each workout. Stick with it. You’ll notice results. I think the biggest part is that you’ll gain muscle mass.

I just ordered the DVDs and can’t wait to try them out..  I’d also be interested to hear other’s experiences 🙂

I just did Day 1 of Month 2. OMG! It is HARD!

Definitely do all the days of the Recovery week – it really makes a difference, especially in your Fit Test before you start Month 2. Also, I’d suggest either doing the Fit Test on your Rest Day, or doing it the last day of your Recovery Week.  The program has Day 1 of Month 2 doing the Fit Test and the workout. I split them up, and I don’t know how anyone could do both! The workout is 60 minutes long!

I am just finishing my second round of INSANITY!! i LOVE the program!!! the second time through, month two was still a challenge… haha 

I have always been athletic but this program had me laying on the floor unable to get up!! After 4 months of this program, Shaun T is still doing some major butt kicking and I am still seeing results!  I would recommend it to anyone! I have gotten my sisters and my dad hooked on it as well!

I have never had a problem with weight either but after gaining 10 lbs my senior year of college i decided it was time to take charge.  I lost 17 lbs on INSANITY, 7 of those lbs i didnt know I had to lose haha! The program is awesome!!! Not only does it help you shed a couple of unwanted pounds, but it also tones you up  and i’ve noticed a dramatic increase in my endurance.  I went from running a 3 mile in 27 minutes to running that same 3 miles in around 21 minutes.

I’m not sure if I have lost any lbs yet, because I wanted to do the 60 days and then weigh myself. I don’t want to get discouraged, because muscle weighs more than fat – and I am definitely gaining muscle.  I have noticed a difference in toning – my stomach is flatter, my arm and back muscles are a little more noticeable.  And, I haven’t been following the eating plan exact… it’s so hard!  I’ve also been doing other workouts – and I find that I need to eat. Not only do I do insanity, but I walk 3 miles over lunch 3 to 4 days a week, and I also run 3 – 4 miles 2 – 3 days per week. 

As brady3537 said, I’ve also noticed a difference in endurance levels – I can run faster for longer and recover more quickly because of it.  All in all, I feel really good, some muscles are sore some days, but I sleep better and have more energy overall.  Now if only I could stop those chocolate cravings….

@lara bee: Just a note for the chocolate cravings (I have the biggest sweet tooth EVER) when I think I’ll die if I don’t get sweets I drink a glass of Light Chocolate Silk.  It’s soy milk but don’t be afraid of it!  It’s absolutely delicious, only has 90 calories, and soy milk is just good for you in general.  It’s my favorite good for me treat!
