I'm not sure how much they are, but I love the idea of succulents! They have such a personality! I haven't seen a bouquet of just succulents, but I've seen them used in bouquets and they look great!
I love the idea. I am thinking of doing small potted succelents as favors.
Yea, I don't know about an entire bouquet, but just a few here and there. Serious personality.
Ooh Succeluents are my favorites! There are some really great boutenierres out there with them!
I also like the idea of a small vase or whatever with a couple varieties in there to be used!
I think it's a great idea- it's something you can do at home if you want to. I have no idea what the price range would be though.
I am really more into the plants myself as well. I was thinking of using them for tables decorations but as a bouquet - now thats a cool idea!
I bet air plants (Tillandsias) could be used pretty easily as a boutonniere. But they have a "spacey/alien" vibe to them though...
I think that's a great idea! Here are some ideas I found online. Plus a ton more at this site: http://www.polkadotbride.com/wp/index.php/2009/07/09/stunning-succulents/

@ jduck wow!! Those are awesome - thanks so much for the link!

Bwah ha ha ha ha ha I am totally using these in my wedding flowers! I'm excited about them, no doubt!
Was browsing greenweddingshoes.com and saw this:

oh my goodness
@pbride...they got married at Joshua Tree!!! I want to get married in a boulderfield so bad. But the southeastern climbing areas aren't quite as accomadating as a huge park like JT.
@SweetAdelineXO You're right. Fantastic idea for centerpieces. I didn't think about incorporating them that way, but it'd be a great way to tie it all together.
i wanted succulents at first too, but my florist said that succulents really depend on the region of the country that you live in. she said that they would be really expensive to get to massachusetts for my august wedding, especially since she uses local growers. i nixed the idea and went for more local flowers.
so if you have a pretty limitless budget or you live somewhere that succulents are a'plenty, i would have some backup options just in case your florist says the same thing mine did.

THis lovely one was one Project Wedding. They even had succulents on their cake :).
I am wondering if anyone posting on here has been married in J-Tree yet? We are planning our October wedding, and I love the idea of succulents!! I am also wondering which catering company people went with, and where you stayed??
Love them!!!! Here's an etsy seller that has them.
And here's a video that tells you how to wrap them for a bouquet.
Im using succulents & greenery in all of my boutquets! Im not sure of what succulents to be exact but those, seeded eucalyptus , ornatmental cabbage some other green stuff and Stargazer lillies- Each BM will have 1 lillie in their bouquet and then I will have more and so will my daughter!
I LOVE SUCCULENTS! They are amazingly adorable!

I've seen a couple pictures of these...and I think I like them. I'm not a big flower fan in general. I thought forever I would do hydrangeas. But now I'm over them and want something a little more unique. Is there such thing as a bouquet that could be replanted after the wedding? I think that'd be really neat! What do you think of a bouquet with succulents? Are they more expensive?
