Hi fellow Chicagoans!
I’m hoping to save some money by doing my centerpieces myself, ahead of time. I’m planning on doing mostly succulents with some dahlia or rose buds for a different color/texture. With succulents being $2 to $3 apiece though, I’m not really sure I’d be saving any money buying them outright. I think I need a minimum of 150 plants.
So my idea is that I’d take someone’s leftover succulents from their wedding, re-pot them and once they recovered, use them in mine. The bride that donates them to me would get rooted cuttings of the succulents she gave me, and/or free organic tomatoes, veggies or flowers from my garden.
After my wedding, I’d send the succulents off to the next DIY bride!
Let me know what you think! I’m willing to drive for them- I’m on the NW side of Chicago!
