The cabins the wedding party stayed in the night before the wedding:

Getting ready with champagne:

Picture of the wedding party all done up (This was after our first look):

A picture of my dad and I before he got changed in to his wedding clothes:

Picture of the ceremony space. There was a fire going behind us during our actual ceremony. We had an "unplugged ceremony", meaning that we requested that guests turn off their cameras and cell phones for it. It was nice walking down the aisle without 1000 flashes on me, I think the photographers were able to do a better job because of it and I feel like people were actually present during our vows. We got many compliments on our ceremony which included a ring warming ceremony, a message from the pastor which was unique to us and personalized vows.

Right after the ceremony, recieving line:

Guests enjoying la tire sur la neige (maple taffy), s'mores and hot chocolate during our cocktail hour. The weather was really beautiful and wasn't that cold (-1 during the day and -8 in the evening).

Me outside to greet guests, wearing my fur-trimmed hooded cloak and holding my paper boquet. I am SO happy we did a first look so that we could take all the photos before the ceremony. While I didn't get to eat any of the treats during the cocktail hour, my husband and I had time to actually talk to all of our guests and be with them during the party. Plus we had hours to take photos before the ceremony, instead of just one hour after the ceremony.

Some pictures inside the cabin before dinner:

Not a complete picture of it, but the decor for the tables is kind of in this pic. I ended up having JUST enough paper flowers for the room. I made around 400 (not including the flowers for the bouquets and the ceremony arch).

Us at the head table:

The band we hired was SO worth what we paid them ($500). They made the evening SO much fun! When we hired them I had no idea they were not just going to play traditional french canadian music, but also do fun stuff with the guests like teach us to play the spoons and play the musical saw!

After dinner, cutting the pie at our pie table, which had photos of past family weddings:

First dance. We danced to "By Your Side", the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack cover, haha:

Instead of doing a dance, my dad and I sung a song together (Somewhere Out There):

Then it was party time!

And here is one more picture of my new husband and I, getting ready to leave:

Overall, it was beautiful. Not everything went the way I expected, but I would not change a thing (well except maybe our DJ... he kind of sucked lol). It was the best day of my life. I CAN'T WAIT for my pro pics, which got a lot more of the small details! :)

Awesome pics!! I like how you said -1 and -8 weren't that cold...haha around here we are freezing our asses off if it goes below 40 degrees!
@kate169: Well considering it was February in Quebec which is usually one of the coldest months of the year (like -30 lol), -1 and -8 is very very mild and pleasant actually lmao.
@BoiledPNut: haha I got some people saying I looked like Belle and others saying I looked like I was from Narnia. :P
