Where in Mexico were you thinking? Le Blanc in Cancun is amazing; that's where Mr. L proposed.
I am completely open to anywhere in Mexico as long as the view is nice!
I have only good things to say about the Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso. I think that with the dates you're looking at, you should be able to find some decent rates there. Try using an agent like Apple or FunJet to get some decent prices.
We're getting married in Cabo, so I would say Cabo, but other parts of Mexico (puerto vallarta, tulum, cancun) will be considerably cheaper.
I hihgly recommend www.casadelossuenosresort.com in Isla Mujeres, a little island off of Cancun. It's a small 8-room hotel and it feels like you're staying at a rich friend's house.
I know you said luxury, but if you want to try something besides the big mega hotels, this is a great alternative. There's a spa, an open-air full-service restaurant w/ amazing food, a pool and a very cool dock & pier that overlooks an incredible view.
The rooms are very well done w/ really nice finishes (marble, etc.) and there are no TVs or phones, just an iPod dock. I cannot say enough about the service. They know each guest by name and just show up when you need something (I was sitting by the pool, and they brought be a cooler filled with bottled water to put near my loungechair and an iPod with cool lounge music on it!).
It's the perfect place for a romantic getaway where you want to just chill and be with each other. The little "strip" is a 5-minute cab ride away w/ bars & restaurants, and Cancun isa 20-minute ferry ride away.
Awesome ideas ladies, please keep them coming as husband and I are open to almost anything! Thanks again!
i will be going here with my man at the end of May for work (and a little play). It looks amazing and is suppose to be incredible.
We're going almost the same time as you! November 17 - 21.
We are staying at the Secrets Capri in Riviera Maya. The Trip Advisor ratings really sold us on it, too.
Well thank you all for your wonderful suggestions...my husband and I will be going to the Royal Hideaway Playacar!!! I'm so excited!
@ mingaling...we will actually be going the week right after you! =)

So I'm trying to plan a mini-moon in Mexico for Husband and I, but I'm not sure where to go. We are looking to go during the last week of November right before Thanksgiving and will be staying for about 5 nights. We would prefer and all inclusive, but we're looking for luxury. Our budget is around $2000-$4000 including airfare. Any suggestions of must stay places? Oh and of course it needs to have a spa so we can spoil ourselves! Any help appreciated! =)
