My wedding is getting closer and I am starting to panic about my centrepieces. I am soo indecisive and feel I have ended up with a centrepiece that is not me. My florist is a friend of the family and quite traditional, she is doing a great job a trying to put something more modern together for me than she is used to but I still feel a little disapointed when I look at the centrepiece.
i am resrticted by budget and I have 13 tables. I have though about non floral but I LOVE flowers too much to not have them.
Any help, advice or commenst are greatly appreciated.

Hmm, I agree, it does look a little odd. I think the composition isn’t quite balanced. Maybe it would help if you got some pictures of things you like? What exactly is your vision of the perfect centerpiece?

Im going to be honest, I think you should go over other possibilities with your florist. I think you can have gorgeous centerpieces on a budget definitely!
I would recommend that you find some inspiration pictures to help you communicate the “look” you want to your florist.

I am going to disagree with the rest of the posters, I love it 🙂

It almost looks like a mix of Ikebana and a normal floral arrangement. Either the stems at the top need to be shortened, or the flowers need longer stems and a taller vase.

Show her some sample pictures of some of the things you’ve liked and seen online or in magazines so she gets a better idea of your taste and what you’re envisioning. Perhaps in this situation, the word “modern” is relative. Pictures can certainly go a long way in communicating your taste and style. Best of luck 🙂
