- Wedding: March 2014
I know some people don’t always agree with it, but my fiance and I have decided to have a small private ceremony with our grandparents, parents, and siblings only, and a “reception” later. Originally we were going to do it the day before a reception with our extended family, but I am thinking that may be taken hard by some of our family members. So now we are going to do it at the least, one week before a recpeiton. Cost definitely does play a factor into the type of wedding we are having. I, personally, am not comfortable spending a lot of money on a wedding, especially when we have so many things ahead of us we want to do (vacations, new house, another dog, etc). So thats our story, but I guess really I was wondering something really fun we could do for our private ceremony. The only thing I know is the guest list and that my aunt is marrying us. We live in Chicago, but am open to any ideas. I know at the end of the day, it is our wedding and we should do what we want, but I am drawing a blank on something that we could do that would be maybe a little unique and fun and not be too expensive (less then $2,000 prefferabley). We met in college and dated off and on for a little while so meeting in college, we don’t have any particularlly magical first date locations or anything awesomely sentimental like that to base our decision off of. Any suggestion would really be so much help right now. Also, we are looking to do it in March or April of 2014, thank you all so much.
