Yeah like marigold said, chips, salsa and margaritas are definitely a hit. You can do so many flavor margaritas. Or how about flavored Mojitos?
I had a slumber party for my bachelorette party. We ordered pizza and salads from my favorite local pizza place. And I love pomegranate, so we did pom/champagne cocktails, pom martinis, pom margaritas. And then everyone brought a dessert (cupcakes, brownies, etc.). It was fantastic!
We had one for my girlfriend and we rented a bunch of movies like Dirty Dancing and Grease. Her mom and aunts made us popcorn and M&Ms mixed together right when the popcorn was nice and hot. So it was a nice little treat. They also did a sundae ice cream bar with different toppings.
The next day the showed up again with brunch. Had champagne and OJ, lots of fruit and different types of bagels. This wasn't over the top but sure was nice of them!
Chips, pretzels, nuts/snack mix, cookies and chocolates if anyone has a sweet tooth. =) As for drinks, I'd just go for coolers, beer, etc. and whatever you have in your booze cabinet in terms of hard liquor and wine.
We had an 80's-themed sleepover in college and it was so fun! We watched classic 80's girl movies, like Dirty Dancing and Sixteen Candles. We had a bunch of junk food snacks--totally bad-for-you stuff like Doritos, chocolate chip cookie dough, M&Ms. For drinks we had a punch made with Hawaiian punch and vodka and something else (maybe Chambord?) It was kind of a fun throw-back to when we were kids.
Thanks for all of these great ideas! I am 100% looking forward to this party as an excuse to eat junk food all night! :-)
check out miss cupcake's blog she just posted about these cupcake pops that look to die for! they look AMAZING. i definitely second, chick flicks, maybe champagne (sparking wine) cocktails & yummy snacks!
I had an 80's themed slumber party for my bachelorette party as well. Everyone dressed in 80's gear and we went out to dinner. We watched 80's movies, had popcorn and little kids snacks along with Razzles! (From 13 going on 30)
I love love love this idea!
The cookie-dough idea is great and also the sundae bar!
I would do some cosmopolitans and play board games (like if you can get your hands on the old school "Girl Talk" Games?????
I also went to a bachelorette party one time where we made 'cup cocks' they were cupcakes and I am sure you can imagine the shape and we covered them in vanilla or chocolate icing - you can imagine the jokes and the fun!!!!!
Sundae bar!!! popcorn and salty munchies! wine, beer! :) hot chocolate, tea!

Hey hive!
One of my dear friends is getting married in October, and we're having her bachelorette party next month. She wanted a pretty low key night and suggested that we go to a nice dinner and then head to somebody's house for a girl's night in. I'm in charge of the food and alcohol and am posting to see if anybody has any creative ideas or recipes to share!
We won't need a ton of food since we're eating dinner out...but I know we'll need stuff to snack on through the night, and I want to be sure it's festive and tasty! Also, any suggestions for fun drink recipes would be much appreciated!
Thanks!!!
