@jbbs1222:  can you find a pic online that looks like your chairs if you don’t have one to post?

Most chairs are not nearly as bad as the bride thinks they are. There have been many posts in the past where bees have agreed that they don’t remember the chairs from any wedding they have attended.

Chair covers can be expensive and they also can take away from your decor with a sea of white.

I just had my own formal wedding — I cannot for the life of me tell you what our chairs looked like without pulling up pictures.

No one is going to remember, or care what your chairs look like.

It sounds like your issue isnt with the chairs themselves, but with the fact that they don’t match. Ask your venue how many chairs they have vs. how many you need. They may have stacks in different areas and you could gather together all the blue ones, or at least narrow it down to two different colors. Maybe put the more oddball ones at the head table since they would be more hidden with their backs to the wall, or try and group the same colored ones at each table. Or all the same color except one green one at each table and whoever sits there gets some sort of prize. Make it a game. 🙂

@jbbs1222:  Or, you could just run with the various colored chairs.

This is a pic of a Canadian wedding reception . They wanted to keep costs down so they used all the chairs they could borrow free from the community hall.

I think it looks fabulous.

@julies1949:  +1 love that pic and the mismatched chairs. It looks like the trick is to make it look intentional, there they used the chair colors in the flowers and placemats.  They had 3 different colors, so if OP wants to go in that direction maybe she can narrow down the colors with what the venue already has.
