    Hi Bees!

My poor mother is freaking out about having hair and makeup done for the wedding. My mother has always had a short pixie hair cut and has never worn makeup besides lip gloss her entire life! She agreed to have hair and makeup done for the wedding, but I don't want her to panic and back out at the last minute becuase she feels she is too "made up!"

What are some things I can do to reassure her she will look beautiful on my wedding day? Over the holidays I put a small amount of makeup on her to get her used to the idea, and she immediately hated it and washed it all off. But I posted a photo of her "makeover" on Facebook and everyone commented how pretty she looked!

I suggested she make an appointment to have a make-up application done by a professional and just get it as natural as possible, then wear it around for a day. Do any other bees have other suggestions? I just want her to feel beautiful, becuase she has always had low self-esteem. Based on a medication she used when she was a child, she doesn't have eyebrows and very few eyelashes.

If you get someone to do really light, minimal, natural make-up on her and she still isn't comfortable, I wouldn't push the issue.  Your mom will look most beautiful on your wedding day if she is comfortable and happy with how she looks!  And if that is with just lipgloss - then that's the way you should go!
