A guy I went to camp quite a few years ago is in the Twin Cities. I think his wedding packages start at $1500.
If my wedding was closer to Minnesota, I'd definitely have him do mine. I've looked at his blog and I love his style!

I am OBSESSED with agapemoments.net. They are definitely in your budget and take GORGEOUS photos. Check out their site!
We used Mike at 1012photo.com. He is amazing and super easy to work with. I highly recommend checking him out.

He doesn't have a ton of stuff on his website but he could give you a link to his other galleries. I love his style! He is somewhat new so I'm sure his prices are decent (I'm getting a deal because I'm a friend, so I'm not sure how much he'd charge you). You can tell him that someone referred you from Fargo, ND and he'll know who :)
He also does a photobooth option, and gives your guests access to the photos online for free afterwards (for you or your guests to print).
I am using Crystal Rose Photography Not only are her pictures amazing but she is an AWESOME person. I absoultely love how accessable she is to her clients and how much she cares. Plus her personality can't be beat! I have my engagement photos with her today :)
We used Michelle Huber and she does a fantastic job. I'm always willing to recommed her work!

We are going with Jennifer with www.jfciphotography.com, she is super nice and we really loved the work she did on our engagement pictures. Very affordable.
We also liked Tracey with http://www.traceyjoyphotography.com/ but in the end we went with Jennifer.
I too had a similar problem, I wanted someone modern and trandy with a photojournalistic approach, but I have the perfect photographer now. Matt Sepeta!
He is also very reasonable priced.

An art photographer friend of mine is beginning a wedding business. I'm using her -- I know she'll be great. Her work is, after all. She's got one under her belt on her website. Because she's starting out she is VERY budget friendly. Robbye Lossing:

Thanks for the help! I'm going to check into some of these photographers. We've meet with Natalie from www.nataliechampajennings.com and with Bethany from www.appleyephotos.com. It's going to be a difficult decision!

Does anyone have suggestions for MN photographers? I'm having trouble finding photographers with a modern funky photojournalistic style that's within my budget. I'm looking to spend anywhere from $1800 to $2100. Most of the photographers I've fallen in love with are outside of my budget. I'm open to suggestions!
