I am recently engaged and I am a very type A DIY girl. I am looking for a beautiful setting with outdoor gardens / gorgeous scenery that will hold 300 people. I'd love to have a wedding with just 50 people but, my parents have a trillion people to invite. I am looking for a place that has NOTHING locked in. I would need to bring in my own photographer (personal friend, I already have her picked out), I want to choose my own florist, I need to pick my own caterer (vegetarian).... I am also providing my own cake (decorated by me) and I want cupcakes delivered by my favorite bakery.... you get the idea! BOTTOM LINE: I am looking for a pretty setting, that will seat 300 without a package deal, I don't want anything included! I live in Rockland County NY and I will like to keep the wedding in NY or CT within a 3 hours radius from zip code 10980. THank you brides! I am looking fwd to suggestions!

I'm not sure about anywhere with access to gardens but in our search I found a place called The Loading Dock in Stamford, CT. It's basically an empty space that's really quite pretty and completely customizable to whatever you want. They do have recommended vendors but you can bring in pretty much whatever you want.
