The first two I have no idea, but we're thinking of "Closing Time" by Semisonic as our last song. It's got ties back to university drunkeness for me and my friends and also is very clearly stating that everyone should go home now :)

Oooh, I've had fun coming up with these!

Cake: either Sugar, Sugar by The Archies, or Love You Madly by Cake (yes, I am just that cheesy and pun-loving. :))

Bouquet: Power of Love, Huey Lewis and the News. Or, my MOHs and I have always danced to The Globe by Big Audio Dynamite. Since they'll both by vying for it, I might play that for them.

For the garter, we're debating between Hot for Teacher (Van Halen) because I am one, or Legs (ZZ Top) because it's fun. I've heard of people using Another One Bites the Dust (Queen), too.

Last dance options: At Last (Etta James), Save the Last Dance for Me (The Drifters), Goodnight Sweetheart (The Spaniels)

We're doing Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" as our last dance of the night... it's a throw back to the Soprano's (last song playing in the last episode) and just a really fun song.

I have seen:

cake cutting: U2's The sweetest thing; James Taylor's How sweet it is

haven't seen anyone have a garter toss at any wedding I have been to, actually!

last song: we used Dashboard COnfessional's Stolen (LOVE IT!!!), dave matthews I love You Oh So Well or Our Love is So Right, Goo Goo Dolls Stay With You was a contender, and there was a song I heard yesterday and thought it would have been perfect, but my mind is blanking right now!

Many, many thanks for your help!!

I ended up choosing:

1. Cake cutting: Sugar, Sugar (The Archies), because of the lyrics: "You are my CANDY-girl".. which is my nickname!

2. Bouquet toss: Sex and the City theme song (Groove Armada). What a cute idea!

3. Last song: I Will Be Here (Steve Curtis Chapman), also because of the lyrics: "Tomorrow morning if you wake up and the sun does not appear, I will be here."
