I will be watching for the suggestions, I have a hard time finding something to do at home as well.

@MrsPanda99:  Insanity, P90x and Beach Babe DVDs by TIU (I love them). My FI also has a kettlebell workout DVD. You can look into some yoga DVDs – I just bought a subscription to which you can do at home, too.

I did P90x before I started martial arts and while the videos the way they are formatted aren’t sustainable (LONG), I found that picking and choosing what I wanted to do was.  So I would skip the sections of the dvd that didn’t really do it for me and once I was familiar with the format, I would just skip his explanations and get right to the exercises which majorly cut down on time.  Even with a modified schedule, I got RESULTS.  It was pretty amazing.  Working out in front of a tv isn’t really my thing though, which is why I’m not doing it anymore.

Also, if you’re worried about it being too hard, it is very easy to modify for your ability level.  I did knee push ups, exercise band instead of pull ups, etc.  It was challenging but doable and very rewarding when I was able to do a couple regular push-ups and then finish up with knee.  For me personally, I’d rather bust my ass for 20 minutes instead of doing a long drawn out cardio session.  I am impatient.  Also, he was always saying “do x for 30 seconds! You can do anything for 30 seconds!” That kind of modular format worked well for my motivation levels.

Not a DVD, but I LOOOOVE Cassie from Blogilates! She has a blog and a youtube channel. Her peppiness and honesty keeps me motivated

I have an old VHS of MTV’s The Grind, dance club aerobics. I looooove it and how cheesy it is! The VHS/DVD combo is in our room now, though, and I don’t have room to do it in there!

Try T25 (by Sean T). It’s only 25 minutes a day but it is a really good work out. Basically it is insanity for people who don’t want to work out for an hour at a time.

I use Tia Mowry’s Yoga set DVD’s. She has a “calm” DVD and a “Abs” DVD. Both are relaxing yet challenging. I like it because I can get all my stress out as well as getting in a good workout in. I don’t think it will help anyone lose a ton of weight though.
