I'm afraid I don't drink a whole lot, nor do I stay in hotels here (except for the Hyatt Regency downtown, that place rocks), but I know where you can find good info on both:
Pubs -- Yelp! Just enter the zip code and see what the reviewers say
Hotels -- TripAdvisor.com, saved me from some truly bad experiences (as in, I didn't book a hotel because of TripAdvisor, and people who did were unhappy)
Where did you end up going? My sister and I are looking into doing the same thing for my party. Would love advice.
For SF pubs and local beer, try:
Social Kitchen & Brewery
Magnolia
Speakeasy Ales & Lagers (certain Fridays, they open up the Brewery and serve up a bunch of beers for cheap! There's also a woman who sells delicious burritos)
Anchor Brewing

Planning my sister's bachelorette party in San Francisco and was hoping I could get some ideas on good bars to do sort of a "Pub Crawl" for the night. She doesn't want to go to any clubs and loves drinking beers, so I thought a pub crawl would be perfect.
Only problem, not familiar with good pubs in San Fran. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Also, any suggestions on good Hotels would be great too! Thanks so much everyone. :-)
