Hello Bees! So I was on the fence on whether to go with silk or fresh wedding flowers. Prematurely I begin purchasing hydrangea stems by the bulk. Now I have decided to go with fresh flowers because the centerpeices I have choose just look better fresh! I have over 100 yellow and white hydrangea stems! What do I do with them now!! I placed them on ebay but I think shipping them would cost a fortune. Please help!!

@ashump210: Try placing them on the classifieds here on the bee! They should be pretty light weight and you could try to ship them in a flat rate shipping box.
You could always use them to make pomader balls for the chairs for your ceremony if you don’t sell them
If you are having a flower girl you could use them for the girls to carry

If you want to sell them try your local Craigslist Board so no shipping required.
If you want to use them, I would make up big arrangements to place at the entrance to the weddding, near the bar, on the floor by the guestbook table etc- wherever is appropriate for your wedding.

YAY! Good you decided to use fresh flower! I am DIYing mine from BloomsByTheBox.com! As for these silk flowers, try selling them. I don’t think its a good idea to use silk and fresh flowers in a wedding. It’s one or the other. Try selling them. Make an account for craigslist. Also make an account on Etsy. Try selling them there! Brides highly consider in using stuff like this.

@ashump210: this is my PSA! Make sure your fresh hydrangeas have plenty of water. I had my venue take my fresh ones off my ceremony chairs and place them in vases on half of my reception tables which they did, but they didn’t put water in the vases and just left the water tube on. Poor things were wilting during the reception.
Yes, I also vote for Craigslist. I just sold a good bit of my reception items the other day on CL.
