It seems like a lot of the stuff is non-matching which may be a way to get it cheaper. You can always look at yard sales and consignment shops for those type of plates and vases. It looks like abunch of more knick knack things than 1 really expensive item.

@Loribeth: Hey i just blogged about the bottom two corner pictures!!

On that note, scince the general theme you are going for is vintage ecelectic, your biggest expense is going to be flowers, as usual! I would suggest maybe doing babys breath with some roses and carnations. Carnations are inexpensive and you can get them in EVERY colour, including a pale green, vintage pink and an antique rose colour!

as for plates, cutlery etc. thrift store..and go there now. Start collecting random “garden” themed plates, bowls, vases and teacups.

Hope this helps!

(here are some examples of carnations in use…dont mind the colours,…you will want something more muted!)

Some larger roses and filler

My florist is going to spray white hydrangeas light pink for my BM’s but she did a sample on a carnation just to show me. You might want to look into. It’s very light pink and would give you that vintage feel. I think it would look better than all light pink carnations.

Not sure what she sprays them with. Luckily, I had a pic on my phone. The pic makes it look kinda cheesy but it’s really pretty (I think!). I can’t wait to see the hydrangea version.

For tablecloths, use the standard white cloths or a mix of white and ivory and do an overdrape with something very inexpensive like theater scrim, voile etc.

King size sheets also make good tablecloths.

Be open to using 3 or 4 different pale soft colors so you can buy bargain fabrics as you find them.

Canvas whatever groups you have connections to- work, church, book clubs etc- to borrow things like silver tea services, platters, vases etc.
