One thing I really wanted (thanks Pinterest!) was a candy buffet! So when mom and I were out shopping and found cheap glass bowls/containers/jars that would work perfect for it, we snatched them up!
Well, hive, I didn’t look at how much bulk candy can be!
Our colors are black, white, and teal, and there isn’t much teal candy other than ordering custom colored M&Ms, so we were going to go with mostly black and white candy.
Then I had an awesome idea this weekend to cut some costs, one thing that would be cheap to use, and fill up the jars, and match would be popcorn!!
Ergo…we will now have a sweet and salty bar!
Another item is yogurt covered pretzels.
So hive, any suggestions on other black or white sweet or salty treats that won’t break the bank?

Sometimes you can find a really good price on salt water taffy
Orientaltrading.com used to have a lot of great bulk candy ideas… have not been on in a while though. Also, maybe try going to a BJ’s or Costco? They have a lot of bulk candy for cheaper… goobers, etc.

Definitely OrientalTrading! That’s the candy we used for our favors!

We did a sweet n salty snack buffet. I baked cheese straws, cake pops, made dipped pretzels (honey mustard, white choc), made savory chex mix, white choc chex mix, and caramel chex mix (my own caramel recipe). My guests loved it and since everything was packaged, they were able to take snacks home with them on the plane. We had an open bar, so we figured no one would want to eat candy.

Thanks! I have looked at Oriental Trading, as well as other bulk candy sites. I was actually looking for specific suggestions on things that I could buy local, like at a store like Costco that are/could be made black or white.
@housebee: White chocolate chex mix is a great idea! Thanks!

@MissCountryGirl727: We are doing a popcorn bar!! If you would consider switching to just that it was pretty cheap. We have about 110 guests qnd popcorn was a little over 100. Or maybe you can do popcorn and have stuff for them to add. M&ms, marshmellows, chocolate chips, etc…
