@essiesstyle:  I think each groomsmen should get a suit that looks best on them. We have three groomsmen in our wedding, various sizes, I would hate to make them uncomfortable wearing a suit they didn’t like. I would say slim cut for the more slender and a classic cut for the groomsmen that is a little bigger. I’m sure you could find them in all the same color if you went with a gray.

We had the same issue with our groomsmen. Dh’s friend who is bigger went for a bigger coat in the slim cut still but a regular pant. J. Crew has great suits.

@essiesstyle:  What’s the budget, per suit?

@essiesstyle:  We had the same issue. Unfortunately we couldn’t find any grey suits in slim/european cut and regular that were the same. What we ended up doing was getting a suit for FI and getting just the pants from the same suit for the guys and they are all wearing the same long sleeve shirts and a tie.

I think mismatched but very similar (same number of buttons if poss- same fabric) is the best bet.  I’m sure you can find a close match.  Especially since he’s buying them (and presumably they will keep them)- it makes sense to pick out what fits each man best so the suit and money isn’t wasted.  I think slightly mismatched suits will be a lot less noticeable than slightly mismatched dresses, since suits have a lot less variation.

I would say try to find a suit that suits all of their body types if you can.My fiancé and his two brothers are all completely  different heights and sizes but we managed to find a suit that looked fantastic on all of them (my fiancé had to have the suit jacket tailored because he is 6’3 and quite thin but the result was fantastic). Having said that, it depends on how big a size difference you have between the guys?

Here is a pic of my groom and his brothers for reference. Not sure what country you are in but these suits are from Roger David’s in Australia and we got them on sale for around $140 each. Bargain!

Have you checked Jos. A. Bank? I know they offer both slim and regular cut cuits, and I would guess that they would have the same fabric offered in both styles.
