Summer 2011 Brides- Let's do Jillian Michael's 30 day shred together!

    I know there have been some previous posts about Jillian's 30 day shred DVD, but it doesn't seem like anyone kept up with the posting. Since our weddings are coming up (and even if they aren't coming up this summer, SUMMER is still coming!), how about we all start the shred DVD this Monday? Finals will be over this week, there are no excuses! I started this DVD a few months ago and was so happy with the results, but then things got crazy and I had NO time. Anyways, it's just 20 minutes a day for 30 days. If you don't have the DVD, it's on Amazon for $8. Let me know who's in! :)

    I'll try to keep with you but i'll have to do it from youtube video as i live in europe ... i won't get the dvd quickly enough.

    Haha - I won't be doing it, but my FI will! He loves the 30-Day Shred video - he's been do it 5 days a week for 4 months! I think it's made him sexier!

    I've been doing a combo of the 30 Day Shred, Jillian's Burn Fat and Boost Metabolism, and her 6week 6 pack.

    I just saw this and I'm not getting married this summer, but I'd like to join!  Starting tomorrow, haha. I'm curious to see when everyone switches up to level two, I started doing it awhile ago but never made it off of Level One.

    I'm heading out to buy this dvd today and will then do it this afternoon (I'm in Australia so my times will be a bit off everyone else's time).   This is exactly what I've been looking for to just tone up a bit and feel great for the wedding!

    Done with Day 1! For like the 10th time....lol I'm excited though. The first time I did the shred I went all the way through. I'm finally ready to do it again :)

    Argh.... I'm going to have to start in a few days as I couldn't find it ANYWHERE today!  I went to three different stores before I gave up and walked home.  Times like this, I miss Best Buy, Circuit City, Target and whoever else carries DVDs.    Anyway, I've ordered it in the mail and I should be able to start in a couple of days!

    I'm looking forward to getting home from work and shredding it up today!  I even made sure I packed my lunch so I wouldn't be starving when I got him and hit the kitchen instead of the work out.

    I just finished day eleven! Today was my first day on level two, and it was so hard! Reminds me of being on level one ten days ago. But like all of you, I always feel great afterward--so glad I didn't quit half way through (which was very tempting).

    i did my day two of the shred :D so happy and i'm so proud of you girlz. Actually this motivation group help me a lot to keep up training otherwise i'm sure i'll drop it after a few days. 

     

    @twfcah2009: i use 1.5 kilos

    I'm not a summer bride (I'm a fall bride) but I just ordered my copy today. Should have it by Thursday (yay Amazon Prime).

    Hopefully I can stick with it!

    Ok just finished!  Note to self: do not prepare dinner with jalapenos and then work out without washing your hands.  I'm not sure my face is where Jillian was wanting me to burn.  So does anyone else find the first circuit more challenging than the other two?  Those push ups kill me!

    @Natalieh86: I definitely agree about the pushups.  I guess the plus side of finding the first one hard is that once it's over, it's like, ok, all downhill/easier from here.  ;)

    Hey all. I just bought 30 Day Shred and did it for the first time ever today. Man, I wish I would have started with this instead of NMTZ! I could defintely feel the workout even though I am only using 2 lb weights but I actually got through it (unlike NMTZ...that I can only do a couple of her circuits for before I give up). I have to admit, I do not feel like the first level has a strong enough ab workout for me so I will have to add some extra in (at least until I get to level 2). Thanks to everyone for inspiring me to pick it up today!

    Last night I had an old friend come over. I told myself I could skip since when she left it was already time to watch my shows....then I came on here to see if you ladies had left any comments and sure enough I read all your comments, then it was off to change and workout! I'm happy I did it last night, it seriously feels amazing! I felt so good afterwards! Looking forward to day 3 tonight!

    really this board is great :) in about 30 mins i'll do my 3d day... if i can manage i'll also do a session of jillian micheals yoga ... we'll see if i have enought motivation

    YAY I finally got my copy!!!   I did level 1 day 1 today and really, that sort of kicked my ass!  I think I'm relatively in shape but that was a bit tough.   I think I need to change weights though - I was using FI's barbell weights and the smallest he has are 2.5 kg (plus the bar) and that's too much for my weak little shoulders... :-(

    Anyway, happy to have done day 1 and looking forward to day 2 tomorrow!!  Let's keep up the motivation - this is exactly what I need!  :-)

    Just finished my 2nd day!  I think today was almost harder because my muscles were kind of sore from yesterday.

    Got my DVD in the mail today.

    Just did day one.

    Hopefully I'll be able to do level 1 again tomorrow.

    That was hard work!
