Anyone have any experience on this? Or if you did go about how much did you pay? The flights are out for next summer and I am debating whether to book now, or to wait.
We are flying from JFK (New York) to Rome and then from Barcelona to JFK. So it’s not a round-trip flight. It’s a multi-city destination. We want non-stop flights, and will not settle for connecting flight. I’ve had bad experiences with them and I just don’t want to have to deal with a connection on my honeymoon.
Currently, airfare is about 1450 per person, round trip. I know summer season is the biggest (and therefore, most expensive) and there are only 2 non-stop flights from Barcelona to JFK on the day that we are looking for (there looks like there are more, but they are operated either Delta or American, so there are really only 2). And there also isn’t much room for flexibility because we are going on a cruise that starts in Rome and ends in Barcelona and those days are set in stone.
Any insights? Thanks so much for any help!

@FoxyBride14: That sounds about right for the flights and time of year. The only way to get a better deal is to bid on flights but then you won’t know what you’re getting and there will likely be stops.

Sooner is better. The prices aren’t going to go down much for a summer airfare and you don’t have any way to be flexible with dates.

Great thanks! That’s what my fiance and I figured. We budgited about 3k for flights anyway, so it falls within what we predicted.

@FoxyBride14: we booked our italian honeymoon through europeandestinations. check them out. i think we got a great deal. we price compared to travel agent and it was 2x as much.

I think what is making this trip trickier is that it’s not round-trip. Then I could fly AirItalia for cheaper, but I really want a non-stop flight home. I don’t want to fly back to Rome to fly back home. When we’re leaving, we just want to go home.

@FoxyBride14: with ED, you can customize your trip. so that should work for you.
we are flying into one city, and out of another. and if we wanted to add additional, we could do that to.
