Hi Ladies! Our day is getting closer and I’m working on undergarments for the dress. During my 1st fitting, I noticed that I was getting really warm in the dress. I know that over time, if my thighs rub, they can get irrated and it happens in the summer more so than the winter, so now I’m concerned about chafing…. It’s going to be hot and humit since our wedding in August in NC, in a beach area. What are you doing to prevent against chaffing while wearing your gowns?

I have bought monistat chub rub stuff to avoid the chafing… it works great, I have been using it when I wear sundresses.

Good call! I’ll have to invest in that too!

I’m wondering is there any sort of under armour material that we can find for under our dresses? I want something to make sure I feel cool.

Does the gel work all day? I’d like something to keep cool also, just for comfort

@AugustMoon: The gel does work all day, it actually feels dry like a powder when you apply it. I am not sure how it works I am just glad it does. I am sorry I can’t help with keeping you cool under your dress. I am laughng at my desk because all I can think of is strapping ice packs to my thighs….

@AugustMoon: I’ve heard Vaseline helps this.

I didn’t even think about that! What section do you get that Monistat chaffing stuff from? I was looking for it to use as a primer, but didn’t find it and was too embarrassed to ask (ps, I can buy tampons for myself, so I don’t know why I can’t ask for Monistat chaffing cream) 🙂

@ms. rice crispy treat: I got mine at Walmart or Target over by the yeast infection adn feminine hygiene products. I also biught mine to use as primer but now that the heat has arrived in the Northeast, it is doing double duty.
