So my wedding is on August 27th. I am wearing a satin dress, which can get quite hot, and peep toe pumps. I will also likely be wearing spanx. The wedding is indoors, but we will be walking around outside for the pictures (and our photographer is kind of a slave driver).
So, million dollar question: yay or nay on the stockings?
I wear stockings with skirts 100% of the time during spring, fall and winter, but not during summer. However, if I get a little sweaty under the dress, stockings could possibly make it less uncomfortable. Or could make it much worse.
I would love to hear what you bees think and about your personal experiences!!! Thanks!

Heck no!! But mind you, we NEVER wear stockings in California. I haven’t worn them since I was in elementary school.

I rarely wear stocking/pantyhose. I will wear some cute opaque tights in the winter, but that’s about it.
So to answer your question, no I will not be wearing pantyhose on my wedding day. I too have a silk satin dress and I want to feel as comfortable as possible.

I wouldn’t wear stalkings with peep toe, I feel like stockings only go with close toed shoes. But it’s up to you. You can always take a pair with you – give it to whoever is holding your make up and you can call a halt and change whenever you feel like it.

Don’t do it! I was hot enough between my dress, nerves, excitement, running around, being on my feet all day, etc. I think stockings only make that worse!

I will be as the venue always has the air coniditioning up and I get cold fairly easily, however if you are wearing peeptoe I would not recommend stockings as you will see the seam along the toe.

As a somewhat devout stocking/pantyhose wearer, I say for this time, go without. You are going to be sweating up a storm. Plus, I hate peep toe shoes and stockings together. That’s just me.
