I am having a summer camp wedding in September and we are struggling with favor ideas. We are giving everyone a mason jar to use the weekend, but those will be out on a table. In addition to that people are getting a little gift bag with a deck of playing cards and some nature postcards. Any other ideas for something fun and cheap!?

Thanks! We had thought of that, but many of our guest are vegetarian and marshmellows have gelatin 🙁

@tsplitter: If you really like s’mores, you have the option of using fluff (not the same as a real marshmellow), or using marshmellows from Sweet and Sara which are vegan – http://sweetandsara.com/ – and awesome!

and you can make your own marshmellows too, there are several vegan friendly recipes I have used. There is even a whole book devoted to vegan marshmellows (Which you can download here) http://veganmarshmallows.blogspot.com/
Best of luck!

When I think of camp and favors I think of small tools like compasses or pocket knives, or if you found some sort of small hand carved wood item. I”m not sure what exactly, but it makes me think of the kinds of crafts that you make a camp. You could look around on etsy. The other idea I had was personalized water bottles.

I instantly thought of s’mores too! If you have vegan guests, watch out for chocolate though.
