I'm doing pinks, black, and accents of robin's egg, but I think those are pretty played out, if you're looking for something zesty.
I've always been super intrigued by red and aqua. It has such a summery/bbq feel. Do you have a theme or look you're going for? Or just a favorite color? I'd start with those; it's like decorating a room: you get your furniture and accents and THEN you paint the walls.
Thanks! I actually tried the red/aqua combo for our engagment party, but my FH didn't like it too much. The color I am currently thinking about is a dark pink with some lime green accents. I really like the idea, but am having a hard time finding the right shade of pink. That's why I'm looking for new ideas that may be easier to find!
I didn't choose colors, but we have colors. It's just one of those things that came together for me as I had to choose things. We're using a lavender, peachy/mango color, and some earthy green and brown. Kind of strange to think about it that way, but everything is coming together.
If you have an idea and a year ahead of you, go for the dark pink and include other accent colors that will be easier to find. Just start looking for the right shade of pink ahead of time!
We're doing cornflower blue with mango orange accents. I love it because it's so bright and summery and unexpected. Like us :)
I'm having an outdoor garden wedding at a plantation house and I went with champagne and champagne pink so they don't stand out too loudly in the gardens. It's soft, romantic, feminine, and not overpowering for our location.
Green and pink are totally classic. Style Me Pretty has a lot of color boards -- I'd search through there for that combination and see which pinks work for you.
We're getting married at the beginning of September and will have celadon (like a light sage green) and lemon. I think it's perfect for summertime !
We are doing teal and bright sunset-y shades for flowers - oranges, yellows, deep pinks. We're getting married on the CT shore on this massive lawn, so with the green of the grass, the LI Sound blue in the background, the teal to sort of tie the blue and green together, and then flowers that pop, I think it's going to look great.
MoSnow, I'm totally loving that celadon/lemon combo, btw.
MoSnow, that is pretty!!
We are doing aqua and lime green for June 2011!
We're getting married in late August. here's our color pallet:

Hi girls! I am getting married next June, and I can't seem to decide on a definite color combo for my wedding. We are getting married outdoors, and I have had ideas, but I am having a hard time deciding on the right combo. What colors are you all using? Any ideas? Thanks!
