I think your hair would be fine down...Just make sure you use alot of hair spray to keep it how you want it looking....You might get super hot with it down but if thats what you want then you will be happy :)
I'm planning on an updo. My hair doesn't hold curl at the best of times, and I'm sure in sweltering heat, it would fade pretty fast. If that's not for you, what about half up, just to get the majority of your hair off your neck if you're worried about being too hot?
I'm actually planning a half-up/half-down style. We're planning on having our wedding and reception outside (but with tents!). I'm not too sure about an all up style on me, and all down might be a little warm, so, best of both it is!
i'm wanting to wear my hair down for my july wedding... i found this pic and i think it's perfect... it will look perfect with the headband i had made on etsy... :-) you can totally do down, just make sure you pick a good hair stylist!

I am wearing my hair down and curled- but I am a very laid-back girl. I know it will be super hot and humid, but I am a natural girl. Hairspray doesn't work for me- I have long hair with a naturally wavy texture- it would just become knots. However, I am using Aveda Be Curly. This stuff is amazing! It holds the curl, but doesn't stay super crunchy-hard.
I think I'm going to have a long braid or a chic crystal headband. I'm not an updo girl either, but I don't want my hair to get gross, so the braid/headband will help keep my hair off my face. Half-up, as a previous poster suggested, would also be very romantic and keep you from overheating.
I wore my hair down - granted, it was January, but it was in Punta Cana, so it counts as summer, right?!
When it comes down to it, it's all about your comfort and what makes you feel gorgeous on your day and how your husband will like it.
I had lots of pressure to wear my hair up, but I didn't want to because
a) well, my hair is long and super thick, every updo that would hold still looked too formal for my taste - and most looks I liked weren't nice with my hair
and
b) husband and father really really like the hair down and their opinion in this matter counted more than the bridal salon salesperson's and my mom and any stylist.
I have no regret AT ALL and husband still talks about how he LOVED my hair down for our wedding.

I need some help from the hive!!!
I'm getting married in July .. it'll be hot no doubt.
But I'm not an updo type of girl ..
My neck is not long .. and an updo would accentuate that ..
Is hair down in July a no-no?
Our pics will be taken outside .. but the ceremony/reception are inside.
