Summer wedding hair dilemma

You could still do an updo/bun, but just have it in the back rather than on the side. Something with loose curls tied up so it still looks relaxed and fun. I don’t think it matters what other people are doing. I am also getting married during a very hot and humid time of year, and I will definitely be doing an updo. Wearing my hair down would just be so annoying and the curls would fall out really quickly in humid weather for anyone.

I think a low sleek side bun would be fine, as long as it was a low profile bun like the model in the photo of your dress.

Your dress is quite architectural so personally I think some sleek hair will compliment better than the other styles suggested.  Especially if your hair is just below shoulder length.

I don’t think I would leave my hair down or do a side ponytail with your dress, it would take away from the beautiful one shoulder detail. I think a centered bun/updo would be pretty. Do you have a picture of the hair trial?

I think putting your hair down or in that loose side pony will distract from that gorgeous dress. Since the asymmetrical shape is part of the wow factor of the dress, I really don’t think you should ‘balance’ things out by putting your hair over your bare shoulder. It is meant to be asymmetrical. Let the dress shine AND let your beautiful face shine. I think the side bun will be great, even if everyone else is doing it. They must know it looks good lol. And btw, I think side buns look just fine on round faces.

You should do what you’ve wanted and imagined doing with your hair, eff anyone who says differently. It is your hair, what matters is how you feel beautiful, you have to look at your pictures for years to come they don’t. I have a friend who can’t get over doing her hair the way someone else suggested instead of what she’d always imagined.

And your hair person told you that you have a broad face??? Omg hire someone else that is incredibly rude. Side bun is universal.

Good luck!!

I agree with PPs, I think that you should do what you want. If you liked how it looks then you should go with it. You should also get a different hair stylist because I think it’s just plain rude to tell a client that.
