@keshifflett:  Aloe Vera, all day all the time.  Also, sunscreen is good in the future so you don’t get skin cancer!

Stay very well hydrated, moisturize like crazy, and when the sting is gone exfolliate.  Aloe, lots of aloe for now.  Stay out of the sun and use sunscreen religiously.

I agree – lots of Aloe Vera!  I also use a clinique after-sun care lotion which helps me a lot with the peeling.

I like the Banana Boat Aloe…but don’t get the gel kinds, those have alcohol and can dry you out.

My brother-in-law was a lobster at his wedding.  You can’t tell in the photos. 🙂

Real aloe vera. Not the bottled stuff. Cut off a leaf (or whatever it’s called) and put it in the fridge for an hour or so to cool down. Cut it in half lengthways and rub all over. Dont get it in your mouth, it is the worst tasting thing in the world. Plants are only about $3, cheaper than the bottled Aloe. Do this a couple of times per day and you should be fine 🙂

@FauxBoho:  +1.  Totally go to your local nursery and buy a plant.  They’re super easy to care for too (succulents) so you’ll have it ready when you next get burned.  Drink tons of water and use tons of fragrance free/noncomedogenic moisturizer.

Get some thick yogurt and slather it on thick.  Leave it to dry and keep it on as long as you can and then take a lukewarm shower to wash it off.  This will take away the stinging (virtually straight away) and the redness (a couple of applications)
