I am totally with you–I had on day in the DR in JANUARY where I wore straps. Damned lines won’t go away.  So I’m doing the unthinkable and going to a tanning bed, which sucks, both because of health reasons and because I get dark quickly and I hate it when I’m really dark. But, I’d hate the tanlines in pictures more–I know I’d alway stare at them.

I’ve gone three time, two times at max length, and they are finally starting to blend in. I’m hoping for maybe only 2 more.  I’m doing them as quickly as I can hoping I’ll fade as much as possible in the next 3 weeks before the wedding.

BUT, I’m only tanning because the spray wouldn’t work because we are flying out too many days in advance. So, maybe a spray tan or tanning would do the trick?

Ive never done this but I think if you go to a good spa that has airbursh tanning by esthiticians ie not just a spray booth, then the girl can spray your lighter parts and even you out.

MsGinkgo: I just keep putting on aftersun and then moisturiser in these situations. If you’re still worried about it in a couple of week then get a spray tan like raspberrymojito: has suggested.

This happened to me before my wedding so I sat out in the sun with shoulders completely bare so the tan lines tanned and it did the trick

I’ve been worried about this happening to me, been trying to find strapless tops to wear everyday, apparently they’re not in style this year cause I can’t find any.

I pretty much live in a sports bra on weekends. Despite using 100spf religiously, I have the distinct outline of a sports bra on my pale skin. I had never, ever, ever before even considered a tanning bed, but after talking with a friend who had used one for seasonal depression, I bought a 3 pack for the mst gentle bed I could find with a built in sensor to be sure I wouldn’t burn (Sunangel). Three sessions did the trick and I still look like my pale self, but without the white sportsbra back. It is not something I’m ever going to do again, but I figured it would be easier than trying to lay out without a top on — because I certainly would have burned.
