Hi Bees! I wanted to start a board for brides who are having their weddings on a Sunday! We are so happy we ended up choosing it because we saved a lot of money and so many vendors are available that day too. Also, our venue was so much more flexible when it came to the start time of our ceremony and the end time of our reception. Sure, there was pressure for us to do it on a Saturday, but in the end we are so glad we stuck to our budget:) We will still have our beautiful dream wedding day, without the huge debt (we were offered the venue for almost half the cost of a Saturday!)

We are having ours on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend! We have a ton of out of town guests so we are hoping it will give them more flexibility for travel (plus the savings are great too!).

We are having ours on the sunday of the Queen’s Birthday long weekend (Winter wedding). It was actually a fluke, because we didn’t realise it was a long weekend till after we booked it, but it works out well.
We haven’t really got any sunday discounts, but are getting a good 20% ($1500) off our venue for being winter. There were some that offered sunday discounts when we were looking at other places. One place surprised us by stating they charged more for a sunday to cover staff wages.
The best thing about being a sunday is that we have found availability to be so much better for us. We have had no trouble finding vendors and have not had anyone say they are booked for our day. It’s been really simple.
I love our sunday date. Can’t wait to do it
