@imalittlebirdie: i'm so happy to hear it! april 1 was FI's grandparents anniversary, with similar karma. since we had to move the date, i'm using april 1 as the RSVP date. keep the karma coming! haha

Nope i'm here too...I haven't had any trouble booking vendors lol
@snuggles2010: surprisingly, my vendor has a wedding later that night... seemed strange, but i'm having a morning ceremony/brunch, so i guess it's fine with me! haha
how are things going? what's your "to do" list look like?
I have a ton done...I think i'm on schedule lol I just finalized the menu, picked our cake and ordered invites....all of our major vendors are booked. I really want my dress to get here i'm starting to forget what it looks like....what about you?
@snuggles2010: I *just* picked up my dress on Friday... somehow I've managed to not try it on every day since then. When does yours arrive? What are you wearing? I'm doing my alterations somewhere other than the store I bought it, so I guess I'll have to start figuing that out next. I'm going to try to avoid getting anything done until maybe sometime in mid-April so I can get in some weight loss. :)
My Save the Dates went out at the end of October. Invitations should be ready to go by the end of January. Our venue is obvioulsy done and our cake concept (basically)... we can't choose our menu until 6 weeks before, though, which is kinda disappointing, so I've mostly just been working on my DIY insanity.

I would have liked to have a Sunday morning brunch wedding for the romantic and old-fashioned appeal of it... but we are having a "semi" destination wedding in a city 1.5 hours away (looong story) so everyone was in an uproar that thet they might have to take a day off work. Compromise, I suppose!!
I'm making my own invites and going to send them out the end of this month0 too - SOOO excited!
ME!!! I'm so excited-I didn't think I would have any date twins since it's a Sunday!!! I think I'm mostly on schedule-my wedding has a pretty small budget and is really simple, so it's not like I had a ton of stuff to do :)
I can't decide when to send my invites out...I didn't do STDs and a lot of the guests are out of town, so I would like to send them sooner rather than later.
@brittaful: Hi sorry I am not on here a whole bunch...I spend most of my time on the Knot...My wedding is in Florida so i'm very excited. I ordered my dress and I am still waiting for it to come in. Hopefully it will be here soon. My invites should be here this week and I can start putting them together. WHat DIY projects are you working on? I just finished my aisle runner that was exhausting lol
Hi May 20ers!
I just put my invites on the mail this past Friday, and some of them are already arriving! Very exciting stuff! I know it's early, but for all of my guests, it's a destination wedding, so I wanted to give enough time to get travel plans sorted out.
How are everyone's plans coming? :)

@brittaful: So busy! I've been buying vases for my centerpieces from thrift stores like crazy! I am hoping to finalizing the wording on my invitations and get those printed this weekend so I can start addressing.
Me! I'm May 20th as well.
Stressing like crazy because I'm getting married a couple of miles from the Nato & G8 Summit which happens to be ON THE SAME DAY!!! I'm having nightmares where only 5 people show up to our wedding because everyone else is stuck in traffic stopped for the motorcade for the prime minsiter of LaLaLand. We put in some time for error in the invitations... If they make it on time, they'll be 30 min early. Getting room blocks was a nighmare, as most hotels are either sold out for the summit or are charging double their normal rate.
Other than that? DIY projects keeping me busy. Just sent off my finalized invitation design to get letterpress plates made... 5 days ahead of my schedule!
Stress level? 9 and growing.
Not a date twin but May 20th will be my 30th birthday :) Happy planning!
@brittaful: I am officially now May 20th bride after several date changes. We were finally able to get this date with our venue, and its actually just three days before our actually 5 year wedding anniversary. So this is our vow renewal I am planning and i have just about everything together. just a few loose ends. We are just shy of three months away and I am getting more excited by the minute.
How many DIY projects is everyone doing? What are they?
I am feeling SO overwhelmed, like some kind of deranged Martha Stewart!!! :/
@brittaful: I just finished the last of my 8 fuschia carnation pomanders and did centerpiece mock up yesterday. I still have to do my monogrammed aisle runner, my bling chargers, bridesmaids and flower girls monogrammed totes, escort card board, my table numbers, all of the flower arrangements and i am sure that i am missing somethings but that will come to me.
@brittaful: I'm trying to decide if I should take on a fabric flower bouquet like this:
or just stick with a regular bouquet.
I'm quasi DIYing my invites and making my programs totally from scratch. I'll also be doing almost if not all of the flowers closer to the wedding date. I need to make a cardbox but I'm having a hard time figuring out what I want to do. I'll also be baking like 600 cookies before the wedding for the cookie bar...eeeeek!
I'm a Sunday May 20th as well! Late morning ceremony with a brunch reception.

@ebet24: We just started passing out some of our invites on friday and so far we have 4 rsvps for yes. I just finished the Bouts for the groomsmen now I am starting on the corsages and finalizing rehearsal plans.
@ebet24: since you can do the fabric bouquet way before cookie doom, i say go for it! :)
our RSVP deadline is approaching and, of course, we only have a fraction of the RSVPs back. not looking forward to tracking down everyone. :(

We have finally hit the one month mark ladies..What all do you still have left on your to do lists?
EVERYTHING haha... I drive down to NOLA on Saturday morning and then I have to do my signs, assemble about 1,000 flowers, walk through at the site, put together my DREADED itinerary for everyone... ugh, I don't even know what else! haha
