We are getting married on a sundaybin the middle of summer. I can’t decide on having a lunch reception or dinner reception cost will be the same either way so that’s not an issue just don’t know what one is best.

I voted for lunch reception, I prefer them because I hate waiting around at a wedding when you are really hungry. I’m sure whichever you choose will be a good option.

Lunch, because most people have to work on Monday.

Yeah, I also vote lunch. If you have dinner, most people would probably leave fairly early since they have to work the next day.

Does a lunch reception have to be low key or can it run the same as an evening

For me I would choose dinner. Always. Your wedding day lasts longer that way 😉
My own wedding was a Sunday night and everyone still drank and danced. It was great 🙂

I voted Lunch because of it being a Sunday. Guests are likely to leave earlier on a Sunday afternoon due to work on Monday. Also, it can ultimately be as formal or as casual as you want. You can generally convey this through the formality of the venue and especially the invitation. If you want a formal event, then just make sure your invitation is formal. Also, if you have a wedding website you could provide additional information.

I voted lunch because there wasn’t an option to select brunch. Brunch is the best meal of the day.
