Hey! I live 5 minutes away from sunset beach! The nice thing is it is right next to all the beach cities..Huntington Beach, Newport Beach..and so on..Sunset Beach is more of a secluded beach because of all the condos on the beach-the parking is ridiculous, but not if you have a condo ;)
However, if you are planning on having your honeymoon following your October wedding-be cautious of the weather. It's not really laying out on the beach weather, but again, it alll depends-I remember tanning on Christmas one year because it was like 89 degrees. Check the weather history for the past couple of years and you'll be good to go!
