We are having an outdoor ceremony and want to do a sunset ceremony. The sunset time is between 8:15-8:30 so I was thinking we could do an 8:00 ceremony which would get over around 8:30. My main problem/concern is that I want a dinner to be served and it would not be served until around 9. We are doing a Friday evening wedding and it is about 20-30 min away from the city us and most of our guests live in. My thinking is by the time they get off work get ready and then have to drive they will not have time to eat before hand so I feel I should serve a dinner. Since it is a friday night we would have our reception go till 12:00-12:30.
Some think it is too late for a dinner but I also dont want guest who havent had time to eat to be starving all night or just get apps.
