Are you stressed? This happened to my friend (I think). She went to the derm and started using Rogaine. I suggest you go to a doc.

If you can't explain the loss you probably want to see your doctor. Besides stress, hair loss can be a sign that something is off physiologically. For example, it's a common symptom in people with thyroid disfunction and other hormonal imbalances. If all your labs come in showing everything looking good, start using Rogaine (for women, never use the formula for men). If that doesn't show improvement you can talk to your doctor about Rx strength Minoxidil or something similar. Good luck!

I am so sorry Miss Texas! I actually ran into that problem about four years ago. I have very thick hair and suddenly I started pulling out clumps of it. Turned out I had Hypothyroid disease. Now that it's under control I'm not losing hair like that any more.

But I second what the two ladies above have suggested: see a doc. They'll be able to help :)

    Good luck!

After seeing a doc, you could always try pre-natal vitamins...

Not to beat a dead horse, but definitely see a doctor.  There are so many reasons that could cause hair loss.  Some of them are nothing to worry about but to error on the safe side I would make an appt immediately!  Here's a link to some causes of hair loss.

Yep - go see your doc!!

S/he may end up just recommending vitamins, but it could be something more serious.

I know I tend to loose TONS of hair when I am stressed, so hopefully it's just stress related and will remedy itself.

    Good luck!
