Your vows are good but you should share how you feel about him more deeply. Of course you love him but how does he make you feel and what is you should focus on…

I wrote my vows too

@Firemansgirl:  just take some time and think about how he makes you feel when you are alone and he has left for whatever reason or what it would feel like if he wasnt in your life. All these would stir up some emotions. 🙂

Short and sweet is what I liked and though i love to write, I love to read too. Have you also alternatively thought of using poems or pieces of literature? I used two conjoining poems for ours. My husband was relieved he didn’t have to write anything, and he was proud for having been able to recite poetry without messing up that he was glowing and smiling the entire time afterwards.lol (Trust me, here in the south, he sure aint no Shakespeare…)

I wouldn’t say anything about him calming you down. You don’t want your vows to include you being stressed! 🙂 That’s the only thing I would have taken out. I would also add in more about what this promise is to you. This is a vow, so it seems to me like you should be more specific about what you vow. (I promise to love you, respect you always, support you in times of trouble, etc etc). No need to do any of this, just a friendly suggestion. I love the idea of writing our own, it makes it so much more personal!
