My aunt and I were arranging a Superbowl party just to socialize and eat even though 3/4 of the group doesn’t get into football. I was wondering what everyone else is planning to serve if you are having a party or going to one. Any recipes to share?

I have more things that I usually make, but I would have to look up some recipes for you. 🙂

We are having a few people over (no more than 6ish) and we are making chilli, BBQ meatballs, and hot wings. Nothing fancy!

We always have a Superbowl cook-off with our friends. Two years ago we did burgers; last year we did ribs. This year, we doing a pizza cook-off, and I’m so excited!
One person is making a goat cheese/carmelized onions/roma tomato pizza with a white garlic sauce; another one is making a white sauce chicken breakfast pizza (I’m a little worried about this one…); one is making a dessert “S’mores” pizza; my husband is making a stuffed crust bacon and chicken pizza; and I’m making a super spicy red sauce pizza with three kinds of hot salami and four different types of peppers. It’s going to be awesome! Oh, and we’ll probably also have chips and dip and an antipasto platter, since those are kinda staples for us.

We typically have a party 10-15 people at least, and have chili, spinach dip, meatballs, corn bread, baked beans, and Darling Husband will smoke some meat just because that’s not enough 😉 Mmmmmmmmm Superbowl. I accidentally scheduled my friend’s baby shower that day at our house (damnit!!) so we’re doing it at another friend’s place this year 🙁

We aren’t hosting the Super bowl this year but my favorite recipe is this…
1 lb hamburger
1 lb velveeta cheese
1 cup salsa
I brown the hamburger then place it into a crock pot with the velveeta cheese cubed. Add salsa to taste. Let melt and stir together. Eat with chips. Mmm

We’re having about 6 people (maybe more, not sure yet) and are serving:
grilled hot dogs
cocktail meatballs (done in the crockpot with cocktail sauce and grape jelly)
chips and dip
ham rollups (flour tortilla spread with cream cheese, a layer of chopped green onion and a slice of ham lunch meat rolled up and cut into bite size pieces)
cookie salad (pudding, cool whip, pineapple and striped shortbread cookie crumbs)
terydactyl wings (seriously huge chicken wings)
beer and sodas to drink
Should be more than enough to fill everyone up.

@bakerella:I LOVE All Recipes!! Almost everything I cook comes from there 🙂
We are having people over the night before and due to the nature of our “get together” and the fact that most of the people coming live at least an hour away a lot of them are spending the night on Saturday and staying through Sunday.
We will be making:
meatballs in the crockpot
some kind of cheese dip
artichoke spinach dip with bread
andddddddddd that’s all I have so far

We are making wings, bacon-wrapped hotdogs, bacon-wrapped water chestnuts, 7-layer dip for nachos, and stuff for italian beef sandwiches. People coming over will bring a few more munchies (like a fruit and cheese tray), and we will have plenty of Yuengling.

@Running Elley: Allrecipes is awesome. Skinnytaste.com is my other absolute favourite, but for Superbowl you gotta go full calorie 😉

Tasteofhome.com has a wonderful selection too. Plus they have recipes in their forum that are not on the main site.

@Mrs. Spring: That sounds like a blast, and your pizza definitely sounds like my favorite. Spicy, sausage, and peppers? There is nothing better!
