i agree, although i am waiting and hoping it happens soon, i am enjoying this pre-planning stage. i have a 3 friends who got engaged within the month of eachother and are going nuts with everything they have to plan and all the suggestions from everyone. while they are freaking out, i get to calmly think about what i want, get a vision, and get excited!
i didn't respond to any of the drama-filled posts because i didn't feel it was worth it. everyone is different and that's fine. i'm glad to have WB so i don't drive my friends and BF crazy talking about it. plus it let's me focus on my friends and their weddings when i'm with them instead of making them listen to me whine.
I read this thread title and thought you meant "waiters" as in "the people who work in a restaurant"!
But seriously, every single one of us was "waiting" at some point, so we all can sympathize.
I wish I had found WB while I was waiting! We started talking about marriage about 18 months after we started dating but he didn't propose until we had been dating for 3 years! He wanted to wait until I was almost done with college (he proposed in September and I graduated in December) but I kept telling him I could be engaged while still in school
So I just wanted to say I have been there and I fully support all the bees who are still waiting! I know how anxious you can get at times but just think of all the wonderful memories you will have once he finally does pop the question!
@Nexus - I did the same thing! I actually read it in another post and thought they were talking about waiter-servers then got it. Felt pretty dumb haha.
I along with many other people wish I had found this site before I was engaged too! Im on the other end and married now but I dont see myself leaving anytime soon, its just such a great site and a great group of people to talk to!
@nexus@naangel55 -- me too, ha ha ha. :)
I LOVE THE WAITING BOARD! I was here when I was waiting and I pop back on over here a lot just to read and support and cheer on you wonderful ladies! I would have lost my absolute sanity had it not been for this board.
And since it's almost thanksgiving: I am thankful for each and every one of you who helped me through the waiting part of my life...haha. :) It was such a blessing to come here to talk to people who were having the same emotions as I, and to connect with those who had the same mindframe. I thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart. And hope to see lots of you graduate this season!

So, I think I am caught up on went happend yesterday with engagedandnormal etc. After all the negative from the posts, I want to tell all of the waiters that you are not alone. I am a planning waiter myself, and it is wonderful (except I don't want to wait anymore!heehee!) We are all here together, and very excited for each other. Thank you for the engaged girls that come and wish us luck and support also. It is great to have people to talk to that understand and are going through/have gone through the same things. This is an extremely exciting thing and I love that we can all share it together. So keep on posting and telling us about your waiting experience (and getting engaged experience), because we are going through it too! Good luck waiters!!!!
