Yeah, I'm going to say it.

On my wedding day, I'll be sporting one or two layers of spanx. Or an imitator of some sort. Much like a rolled sausage, my bits will not be wobbly that day.

Anybody else planning on this, or did this?

My corset top of my dress holds everything in and so I won't need spanx but I may still wear some sort of shorts under my dress to prevent upper thigh rubbing ;-)

My dress is a simple silk sheath, so I'll definitely be using something to smooth me out beneath it.

If my dress highlighted those areas then most definitely! Luckily, there are so many layers that nothing really shows through.

I don't see any reason not to...extra guarantee that you'll look your best on the day you'll be most photographed in your life!

I took Spanx with me when I went dress shopping, but quickly discovered that I didn't need them. All the dresses I tried on had enough structure to them that nothing was required. I ended up buying a fit and flare style dress and, despite it fitting snuggly (as it's meant to) around my hips/thighs (AKA my problem area) it holds everything in perfectly without the help of anything...thank goodness, because sometimes Spanx give me stomach aches!

I got my imitation ones from Zellers here in Canada. I think they're Secret brand - work like charm!

I think I'm wearing the high waisted tube style ones, as my dress kind of buckles where the inner corset huggy thing ends and my hips begin. Just a little though. And with the enormous amount of beading on my dress, I reaallllly don't want to have it altered all that much.

Thusly, I shall be re-arranging my organs for the day. :D

I thought about it - then wondered how that would affect the already complicated "bathroom issue". So, I think I'm going to just rock my regular underthings to keep me comfy and toilet accessible.
