This has been my worst wedding planning day yet and I am oh so grateful to have you all to vent to!
I have been emailing with my wedding venue since Day One, Emailed them 12/27 and didn’t hear back, didn’t think anything of it because it was the holidays, I forwarded them the 12/27/12 email with a short “haven’t heard back on this, if I could please get some answers” on 1/2/13.
I gave them until today at 5pm, still NADA. So I’m starting to freak out and resolved to go home and call them. Get home, call the office number and it rings and rings, which is normal, so I call the restaurant (situated beneath the hall, they run both opperations and are open normal restaurant hours lunch-dinner 9pmish) THE RESTAURANT RINGS AND RINGS!
Drive to the venue (20 mins away) and ALL THE LIGHTS ARE OFF and I see a sign on the door.
Luckily, not out of business, the door says “we are closed Jan 1-10 for minor rennovations”
NOW – What would you do? Are they not going to respond to me until the 10th? NINE days from my wedding? Why can’t they have an ‘out of office’ email response? Why aren’t they still checking their messages? Are they actually going to reopen on the 11th? Or are they sly-ly going out of business?!?
