my future hubby is a tech geek. his latest thrill is this app for his ipad that shows my monthly menstrual calendar. to be honest, ive never really kept track of the regularity of my cycle, i just sorta "feel" it coming on...

anyway, he announced to me that this handy-dandy little app has been 98% accurate for the past 8 months of my cycle, AND if it continues to be accurate, looks like Aunt Flo will be joining us on July 12! the day we fly to Europe.

oh, well. thank God it's not ON the wedding day/night. especially since we've decided to stop having sex for about 6 months until the wedding.

the other good thing is that we are taking a 3-week honeymoon :), so it's not really that bad. i'm just worried it'll show up early, like ON my wedding day! that would suck.

    anyone else have this situation?

Honestly, it doesn't skeeve out my husband and I.  We just put a few towels down and wash up afterward.

Hmm..thought I posted, but guess not..

Any chance you are considering birth control pills for bc? 'Cause if you are, you can go to the first week of the second pack a week early. It is perfectly safe to do this...so you can delay for a week or two.

Also, if you are planning on going on BC, you could just start it on a date where you wouldn't get your period right after the wedding so you wouldn't have to worry about skipping pills.

Yup, I found out my period was going to come the day I left on my hm, so I took my bc early. You could get on bc. Ask your doc about it.

Ditto. I was due for mine to start the day before the wedding. I didn't care about the wedding night, but I am pretty miserable the first couple days and did not want to deal with that or worrying about carrying an extra tampon in my dress!!  I went on the pill and skipped the placebo pills the last week of the first month so that my cycle moved up a week. It was great....Only bad part was that I went on Yas and not long after the wedding it started making me crazy so I went off it immediately :)

Even if you're not planning on taking BC regularly, you could take it for just the month or two before your wedding & up to the end of the honeymoon. you can take them for 2-3 months constantly without taking a "break" for your period and it won't hurt you.

So far I think mine will fall somewhere in the middle of our honeymoon. I don't plan on going on BC AT ALL so that isn't an option, luckily for me my periods last 3 days or less always so I will use those three days as a break from sexy time LOL.

My period is supposed to be around my wedding day.  I went to talk to my doctor last week to put me on BC so I can skip it.  She's putting me on a low dosage one that shouldn't cause nauseousness or weight gain.

I was going to be on mine the first week of our honeymoon! July 19-24 NO THANK YOU.

So I am taking my pills straight through. Just talk to them ASAP b/c it takes a few cycles for your body to get the whole "skipping" thing. For example, they told me to get my period like normal in April, then keep taking my pills through July (wedding/honeymoon month) so it takes a few cycles. - I still spotted a couple weeks ago for a whole week when I was still taking the pills - ya know, when I normally would have been off and getting my period.

My friend tried to skip hers, didn't start early enough and didn't consult her doc, took her pills incorrectly (she's on the tri, I'm on the single dosage) anyway, she was spotting for 3 weeks before her wedding!

SO it can be done, just talk to your doc!!!
