Best of luck to you! Better to have the procedure done with, so you can recover and be healthy!
It sounds like it is a pretty minor surgery, I'm sure you will be fine. PM me if you want surgery details (I haven't had the same surgery but I have had more than I would like!).
Good luck!
Sounds like it won't be too bad. I hope you can get it over with soon, and I'm sure you'll do fine. Think of it as a nice excuse to be pampered by loved ones :)
Thanks! I want it done asap so I can keep wedding planning! So much is going on in the last 2 months, so it's really hard to try & schedule something like this, but hopefully it all works out for the best. Luckily I won't have to be there long, and can recover quickly, so I don't have to miss too much. I have showers and dress alterations scheduled in the next 2 weeks, and my bro's HS grad is the 26th! Busy!
Wow you do have a lot going on! My doctor said that I needed about a week to recover from my last surgery but I was feeling well enough to do things about 3 days after (not marathon days of stuff but being able to go to the store or something).
Yeah, I know! I'm hoping it's not that bad. I'm not expecting to be able to go crazy (I play softball one night a week-which I just will have to miss that week), but hoping we can squeeze it between everything so I can go to all the events without problems!

I just found out that I will have to have part of my thyroid removed soon. I'm hoping we can do it in the next couple weeks. There is a nodule (about .75 cm) on the left lobe of the thyroid, which they took a biopsy of last week. The results showed that the cells are consistent with the Papillary Carcinoma Cancer cells, so they wanted to be sure and get that part of the thyroid out. If the nodule was bigger than 1cm, they would take it all out. The right lobe looks normal with no nodules. I called to get my name in at the surgeon's, so I won't know of a date until after the consultation, which I won't have a date for until tomorrow sometime.
It's supposed to be a week long recovery, so I'll heal pretty quickly, and in the hospital over night at most. I'm obviously really nervous about the surgery, but I just want it done with.
